ReInnovate partnered with a Founder to staff and launch a sales automation company in Santiago, Chile.  We played a key role to develop an automated lead qualification business based on Natural Language Processing Machine Learning algorithms.  In less than 6 months, we helped deliver a revenue-producing MVP with a major South American mobile provider. The company later sold for 10x the Founder's investment.

Launching an ML startup offshore from 0 to MVP in 6 months

The Founder was intent on keeping costs low, leveraging the full suite of Amazon AWS services including enterprise-grade security, and investing in training high quality models.  By driving the hiring process, we were able to build an engineering team of 12 that included 2 data scientists / data engineers for model development, a designer for website and mobile app designs, and senior full-stack developers to make everything work.  Kevin worked as a fractional VP of Engineering / CTO, working closely with the team during all aspects of development, and was also directly engaged with the customers.

He used an Agile methodology based on Scrum to manage the development work, the expectations of the Founder, and to connect the Head of Sales closely with the developers.  To train the models, public data sets were mined, modified, and scored and the NLP models were optimized to reduce false positives to under 2% to avoid sending poor leads to customers.   English and Spanish models were delivered for the MVP to the delight of one of the largest mobile providers in South America.
